Feb/March/April 2013

Welcome to the annual Early-Months-Lack-of-Quality-Photos Festival!  Here's a few things we saw or did during Feb, March, and April.  Life is still so good during this time of the year but this mom just never feels as much like trying to get a bunch of great photos. :)

Jason reminded me that one day, we will really miss the Island of Sodor being stretched across our whole upstairs 3-4 times a week.  Even now, as I try to pick a safe walking path....I know he's right.

He makes me smile.  What a fun little thing to find in the morning.

My twelve year old car finally hit 100,000 miles and is still such a good car.  I keep thinking that any day this little car will start having more problems than we want to fix but....it just doesn't.  It started making a noise early this year but it just needed a new water pump.  40 dollars later my handy husband had it taken care of.  I'm sure it has something to do with my upbringing but even though it's a squishy fit, dumping this car while it is still so reliable and economical feels like throwing away a half-used roll of paper towels or something.  I feel kinda happy every time I fill up the gas tank for 36 dollars.  My car doesn't really fit in with those in the neighborhood and it's really surprising to me how little I care.  Hoping for another couple years with it!

A very sweet and simple Valentines day.

Jerrett and Grady had a heated hippo battle while Maddie led Hallie in cheers she learned at the little cheerleading clinics at Fremont.  So funny.

Austin's class went ice skating on a field trip.  His teacher called to tell me that Austin had fallen on his arm and wanted me to know so I could just keep an eye on it.    I wondered if I should pick him up but Austin said no, that he was okay and wanted to keep skating.  I told his teacher to have him call me if he was having problems with it.  He went back to school all day and walked home.  It was bothering him but he was trying to "shake it off".  I finally made him go get it xrayed and the radius had a fracture.  What a tough boy!

Jason chasing away the late winter blah's by doing a backyard BBQ! :)

 Napping Strep Throat Boys.

 Frosting some cookies together....

Hanging out at Cabelas :)

The neighborhood had really been missing it's little watchman. :)  They were so happy when they could finally start playing outside more.

The interaction that happens between these two when Jason gets home is so funny!

 Dyeing Eggs!

The day before Easter we got three parakeets from some friends in our neighborhood.  The boys are having a blast with them and Jerrett hasn't had any red itchy eyes or hives like he gets with dogs and cats.  The boys are having fun with them....not just playing with them but always taking photos and videos of them.

Jerrett holding Hulk after church on Easter Sunday.

Finding Eggs and Playing with cousins on Easter Sunday at Grandma's House!

Grady loving to play with the batting tee.
 Tiki and Michael

Trying out manly furniture and viewing wild scenes at Cabelas....a boys wonderland. :)

The playset was like brand new on those first few warm days :)

Grady tells big stories with lots of facial animation.

Austin and his friend David in their plastic fedoras and single white gloves.  Freedom's choir performed with other elementary choirs at Roy High one night.  They sang "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson and "Footloose" by Kenny Loggins.  It was so dark....I couldn't get a better pic than this :(

Green candy popcorn we made for St. Patty's Day.

My new cut and color by my sweet friend Steph

We speckled our eggs using olive oil....it was pretty fun.

Mel and everybody's favorite little diva, Reagan!
Austin loves hanging out with his big cousins
There is always a pile of dirt or gravel for Cam and Grady to enjoy at Grandpa's barn :)
Hanging on to the toddler bed days for as long as I can.  I love tucking him in this little bed and turning around at the door to see him grinning at me.....it gets me up every time.

Hulk is everybody's favorite and he likes to sleep on his swing.

We got snow the next day but I was still totally enjoying my new blue glitter toes and yellow zebra stripes that cousin Amy did for me!  So much fun!
 The night Zurg attacked:
We grabbed the kids out of bed and told them to run to the car because Emperor Zurg was on the roof. The only way to save the galaxy was to hurry and get some galactic ice cream! We yelled and fought off Zurg the whole way....it was so funny. Boys are just too fun!

Every once in a while I wake up to this little face in my bed in the morning.
I also love waking up to this little six year old pushing my door open in the morning and his adorable smile! What a cutie!
Shellac nails is okay at the hospital....Amy gave me a party at my fingertips!  Enjoying them so much and they last two weeks!
